Shazam is the world’s most popular audio recognition app. It is installed on more than a 100m Android devices and still growing strong. In this talk, I would like to describe the effort involved in building Shazam for Android Wear, which was featured in Google I/O 2015.

Specifically, I’d like to address the various challenges while designing, architecting and implementing the app, some of the engineering challenges we faced and how we eventually overcame them.
